Mike Hill, Jr. has over twelve years of experience in preparing business valuations. Prior to joining Hill Valuation Group in 1996, Mike was a Senior Staff Appraiser in the Houston office of Arthur Andersen specializing in financial valuation. His experience includes equity and intangible asset valuations for various purposes such as estate and gift tax, purchase price allocations, litigation and ESOPs in industries such as oil and gas exploration and production, waste management, retail and wholesale food distribution, printing and publishing, marine transportation, finance and banking, health care and many other manufacturing and service industries.
He received his BBA in both accounting and finance from the University of Texas and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. He has earned the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). Mike currently serves as BV Discipline Governor on the ASA Board of Govenors and is the immediate Past-Vice Chairman of the ASA National Business Valuation Committee. He is also the Past-President of the ASA Houston Chapter. He is a member of the Houston Estate and Financial Forum and an affiliate with the Houston Chapter of the Texas Association of Business Brokers.
